You can now download this essay written in 2012 and based on research undertaken as part of our ongoing project on enclosure and commons in Dublin and beyond. Here we describe the process of urban privatization and financialization in Ireland and Spain over recent decades. We also take a look at some examples of struggles around the right to the city and the right to housing and examine their relationship with financialization.
